New Year's Eve
So let me take everyone back a couple weeks to New Year's Eve. I was still in Maryland at that point but Eaan was driving across the country. Eaan was able to celebrate with family in Texas while Jourdan, Layla and I stayed in and celebrated with my mom and the family. We had a yummy dinner and Tommy played music for us throughout the night on various instruments. We played Wii and waited for midnight to roll around. Jourdan actually made it to midnight but crashed right after. Good food and fun times with family, what more could you ask for.
Happy New Year! (a little late)
Busting into the New Year...
...behind schedule.
Ok, so I know I haven't posted much in the past two weeks. Well, I haven't posted at all. But don't worry I am going to fix that. We are finally moved and unpacked, for the most part. We finally have internet and I am getting into the swing of things here so I can catch up on the posting. And of course I have been taking pictures this whole time. Tomorrow is another cleaning and unpacking day for me so I have to get to bed but I think I will be all unpacked tomorrow. Whew...so glad to be almost done. Here is a picture of what is to come...
I know. I can't control myself either. :)
Christmas Day
Christmas morning was spent opening presents, eating breakfast and having fun. Mom got a new camera...a D90 (I am so jealous!!!) but I got a new lens for my camera! Jourdan opened tons of matchbox cars and Anna got American Girl outfits and accessories. The best part...we were all together.
This is the first time that we have celebrated Christmas with just us and all of us. Usually someone is missing. Mom had all her kids and grandkids here for Christmas morning. Even Eaan! It's been a good six months living at home. I think we all appreciated being together more than when we were growing up. Chris and I especially, since we have moved out and then back home. 2009 is going to be full of changes. Jourdan, Layla and I are leaving on Wednesday to move back to San Diego with Eaan. The house will be really quiet without us! That might be a nice change for my mom though. She is going to miss us. Tommy will be going to college in the summer and Chris is planning on moving in the summer too. Anna will be the only one left. We will all be out doing other things, living our lives, so it was nice to be here these past months and spend the time with my family before my brothers and I go our separate ways. Sure, we will see each other but it will be different.
Christmas Day was spent with family. It started out with just us, then we saw Eaan's aunt and uncle's family and then we went to visit with my stepdad's family. Some people don't like visiting everyone on Christmas Day but I love it! We didn't get to see everyone but we will definitely celebrate Christmas with Eaan's family in Phoenix when we get out to San Diego. And of course to all our other family members we don't get to see often...we love you!

Christmas Morning
Christmas Day with the Morris'
This was Great Grandmom Carol's red chair when she was a little girl. Including Layla, I believe there have been four generations that have sat in the chair.
Guess what Chris got for Christmas!?! An iPod!
Doing what I love...taking pictures, with a bow. Hey, what can I say. I was in the Christmas spirit!
Hanging out with the fam. I think Layla almost got crushed once...no one could see her. :) That probably because they were jumping over the couch...
The Morris-Grochowski-Green Family (yeah, my maiden name was Grochowski)
Jourdan is attacking my head!
The red chair.
We had a very Merry Christmas! I hope everyone else did too!
Christmas Eve
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year. 2009 should be an exciting year! We had lots of fun hanging out at home but more on that later.
I have Christmas Eve pictures to post!
Getting ready for Christmas has been fun this year but Christmas Eve is always the best!
We went and visited Eaan's family and had a wonderful dinner. Then it was time to come home and get ready for Santa.

We all iced gingerbread cookies.
Jourdan liked the icing.
Jourdan wrote Santa a letter and Santa wrote him one back. The best part was Santa enclosed some reindeer food for Anna and Jourdan to sprinkle outside.
And of course we read "The Night Before Christmas".
Jourdan always gets that look when he is concentrating.

Later that night we heard Santa on the roof...well it sounded like Santa fell on the roof. I love my brothers. We all know how much Tommy likes being on the roof. It's awesome how everyone gets into the Christmas spirit and makes it really special for the little ones. Anna is almost too old now, but Jourdan and Layla are just starting out. I can't wait to continue the traditions that I grew up with, with Eaan and my little ones.
