Hiking and Playing

Mt Soledad

On the weekends we usually go hiking or walking around town. Eaan and I love to hike so we make it a point to try and go every weekend. A couple weeks ago we went to Mt Soledad to see the cross and hike around in the neighborhood surrounding it. We couldn't believe that we had never been up there before. It was so beautiful and you could see all of San Diego. It was hazy that day and the pictures of the view didn't come out great but I hope to get up there again someday soon and take more pictures.

Mt Soledad

After we were done walking around Mt Soledad we went to Coronado Island to go to our favorite pizza place and then we were off to the beach!

Babies, Babies, Babies

This is going to be a quick post since it is pretty late. I really don't think well when I am this tired. I wanted to get these pictures up before I forgot about them though. These were from about a month ago when we went to the park with some friends. Our friends, Wes and Melissa, have a 3 year old and twin 9 month olds. We hang out with them a lot and they are really great friends. Jourdan loves their little girl and they play together all the time. Lots of pictures were taken, as you can imagine. I mean, come one...there were three babies instead of one I couldn't help taking pictures of their cute little faces!

(And yes we have the same stroller...I should be a sales rep for BOB)

What is it about baby fat that just makes me want to squeeze it? She is so flippin' cute!

Park with Friends

Not really sure what this face is for...but he obviously needed some attention.

OK, back to cute baby chubs.

I will be sad when she is older and has no baby fat, although I am sure she won't be.

Beach Time in February

La Jolla Shores

In February Eaan's family came out to hang with us for a long weekend. We had nine people staying with us! It was crazy but a lot of fun. I love it when everyone is together. I didn't really take many pictures (shocking, I know) but we had tons of fun going to the beach and hanging out.

Of course we went to La Jolla Shores.

The beach was a little cold but Layla was still able to fall asleep...

We can't wait to see you guys again. We will be in Phoenix in the next couple of weeks...before it gets too hot for me. I can't wait! Miss you and love you guys!

Follow Me!

I am curious to see how many people read/follow my blog. I have added a followers tab on the right hand side. Sign in if you would like. It would be great to see how many people stop by. Right now I only have one follower and it is my mom. I guess that means I am pretty much a loser. lol :) But that's ok. :)

Happy Wednesday!

Flagstaff, AZ

Flagstaff

I haven't been able to put together the video yet but I will do that soon. I do have some pictures to post from our trip to Flagstaff last month. We went out to Phoenix to visit family and then we went up to Flagstaff for a mini vacation. Our goal was to get Jourdan in the snow.

When we got there, there wasn't any snow on the ground so we went up to the Arizona Snowbowl. There was plenty of snow and people skiing but we didn't ski. We just watched and had a good time. I had a great time taking pictures.

There is no way you could get me to go on this.

Jourdan was cranky and wanted to run around. We were supposed to go hiking but it was really cold outside so we decided to go bowling instead. This was Jourdan's first time bowling (besides on the Wii :)) and he did really well.

He would throw the ball, then run back, stand with Eaan, put his hands on his hips and watch the ball roll slowly down the lane.

We were going to leave after only spending two days in Flagstaff but a snowstorm was predicted to hit that night. Since our main goal of Jourdan playing in the snow wasn't accomplished yet we decided to stay another night. It was great! It was the first real snow Eaan and I had seen in awhile.

Jourdan loved it! Goal accomplished!

Flagstaff Jourdan Snow

After playing in the snow for awhile we headed back to Phoenix. We were sad to leave. There isn't any snow in San Diego but we can always head up into the mountains when we want to see it again.

It was beautiful when we got below the clouds.

The next day we left Phoenix to head back home. The weather was crazy. We drove through several rainstorms.

Then there was a rainbow. Awww.

We thought all the bad weather was behind us. Yeah, right. When we hit the mountains we ran into a bad snowstorm. We couldn't even see the road. It was covered with snow and freezing rain. The snow was actually coming straight at the windshield because the winds were so strong. I thought for sure we were going to get stuck up in the mountains but we made it home safely.

Spring is almost here so I don't know if we will be seeing snow anymore this year. But we will be in Maryland next winter so hopefully we will get a couple good storms there. Have I mentioned I love storms?

Torrey Pines

Tonight I am on a roll. I have put up about three posts. I also have a video to post of Layla and Jourdan. I am going to try and get that up sometime tomorrow. It is so cute.

Anyway, Eaan, Jourdan, Layla and I went hiking a couple weeks ago at Torrey Pines. We stayed until sunset and it was beautiful. It feels great to be hiking again. I love that I can hike in February here. It was about 75 degrees. Not that I couldn't hike in cold weather. I just don't want to. Here are a couple of pictures from our hike.
